Q: Can I borrow materials from other libraries?
A: Yes! "borrowIt CT" is a cooperative Connecticut library program that allows residents of any town with a valid library card from their home library to use that card to borrow materials at any of the participating 192 public libraries.
An easy way to borrow materials from another library is by using the Acorn App. Acorn is an app powered by Bibliomation. With Acorn Catalog, you have access to 63 public libraries across Connecticut, including Slater Library. With the app, you'll be able to place holds on items, search for library materials, keep track of your reading lists, and more.

Q: How much are overdue fines?
A: Slater Library is no longer imposing fines for overdue materials. Patrons who have lost or damaged materials will be responsible for the cost of replacing the items and will have their borrowing privileges suspended until the bill is paid.
